Brenda Garrand Brand Development & Communications Partner

Brenda Garrand, CEO and Founder of Garrand & Co., serves as Marketing Communications Partner at Richard Vorisek Associates, bringing over 30 years of experience to the team. Her expertise spans brand development, mass communications, public relations and digital marketing strategies, including ecommerce and social media.

Brenda began her career in broadcasting where she went on to start her own business at Garrand & Co., a marketing communications firm recently recognized by Ad Age Magazine as one of the top ten places to work in marketing and media. Brenda is also the creator of Golden Threads™, a widely used brand articulation program.

Brenda’s experience extends through many client categories including Fashion, Health Care, Banking and Insurance, Consumer Products, Hard Goods, Regulated Utilities, Education, Retail, Spirits, and Travel & Tourism. Recent clients include: LL Bean, Sovereign Bank, Osram Sylvania, HP Hood, Bailey’s Irish Cream, Pinnacle Vodka, Calico Jack Spiced Rum, Lion Brand, and Gorgeous Gelato.

In 1996, Brenda was appointed to the White House Conference on Small Business by President Bill Clinton. She is a member of the Gold Forum of the American Association of Advertising Agencies and serves on the faculty of Marketing University. Brenda holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Bates College and a Master’s degree in Advertising from Syracuse University.

Brenda maintains a winter residence in Florence, Italy, and has a special interest in fiber arts craft and design. An avid sailor and jazz pianist, Brenda is married to business attorney, David Pierson. Their son Charles currently serves as Director of Social Media for US Senator-Elect, Angus S. King.
